Quote by Dion Dior,
My mother says I was born with a paintbrush in hand, and when I look back at my life, that was probably true. I don’t remember much of the detail of my early childhood but I do remember that art was very much a part of it. I was born and raised by the sea in Australia where the treasure to be found in a rock pool was more valuable than the crown jewels. I grew up alongside three very talented and vivacious siblings. Our house was filled with energy, laughter, and arguments over the bathroom.

Throughout my life I have been driven by my desire to create and as the years have passed, art has remained my anchor. I love color and particularly love sparkle and shimmer.I often find that a piece is not finished until it pops off the page with energy and illumination.

I draw most of my inspiration from nature and will use her many faces to fuel my work. My journals and sketchbooks are filled with luscious, shimmering pages - treasured expressions of my endless adventures. I hope you will join me on some of these adventures as we swim in a silky, twinkling ocean of shimmering colors.

Marah grew up up all over the United States and Canada never really calling one place home, her parents were true hippies, living the bohemian lifestyle.Constantly on the move She went to well over a dozen schools before the 7th grade. Her mother used to make art dolls, quilts, jewelry and would sell them at craft fairs across the country.

Family friends were artisans as well. So whether by osmosis, or never ending curiosity Marah learned to bead, sew, paint, carve wood, tool leather, cast molds, card and spin wool, weave, throw clay, paint silk, paint with beeswax, block print, screen print, and embroidery before the age of10. Needless to say art was and still is Marah's coping skill

Marah is still happiest, barefoot, hair pulled in a ponytail, comfy clothes, fingers full of ink and glue with a bit of paint and glitter thrown in for good measure. She is known for getting lost in her projects, and having to remember set an alarm clock so she doesn't forget to pick up her kids at school, and more often than not forgets to eat lunch.

Marah currently lives in Huntington Beach Ca. with her three darling daughters ranging in age from 21 to11.When not working she loves to take photos of her girls, cook with her budding chef ( youngest daughter) and of course travel!
