Marvelous Memory Frame Designed by Peggy Budfuloski ![]() Materials: DreamingInColor Materials: Radiant Rain Daubers from Creative Imaginations: large assortment of colors Radiant Rain Misters: large assortment of colors Primary Elements Artist Pigments Pure Mica: Solar Gold, Copper, I-Green: I-Blue: I-Violet- I-Gold-I-Red Primary Elements Artists Pigments : Stargazer, Key Lime, Pink Grapefruit, Lemondrop Walnut Hollow: Paper Mache Frame Ranger: Adirondack Acrylic Black Paint Dabber Non-Stick Craft Sheet Glossy Accents Lumina Clay-air dry polymer clay -1 pack Amaco: Pasta Machine-largest setting Clay tools-roller wheel General Products: Black permanent marker with chisel edge Favorite stamps with deep edge to stamp nice grooves in clay Fast Grab Glue Acrylic Crystal Clear-glossy spray Chisel edge Paint Brush (throw away) Paper towels Scissors 6 8oz. paper cups Heat gun Step 1 Take clay out of package and work fairly quickly (do not condition clay unless hand rolling-roll to 1/8 of inch) ![]() Run through pasta machine and gently pull apart to get full length ![]() Step 2 Cut length wise in 1inch strips. Then cut into 4 inch or longer strips ![]() Step 3 Place paper towels down and gently stack all of the cut clay together Lay 2-3 strips of cut clay on a paper towel and stamp all over with an assortment of stamps ![]() Set aside and do 2-3 more strips until done. Once all the clay is done let it dry for 20-30 minutes ![]() Step 4 Paint frame with Ranger Black Dabber paint. Paint back of frame as well ![]() Step 5 Lay Ranger Craft Sheet paper down and a layer of paper towel. Work with one clay strip at a time. Spray half of the strip with DreamingInColor Radiant Rain Spray Mister and the other half with Radiant Rain Dauber with mister top replacing the dauber top ![]() Step 6 Dry with heat gun (do not boil paint) going from one direction to the other to create a blend of colors in the middle of strip. Colors will appear darker; however, this will change when finish is applied ![]() Step 7 Rub several Artist Pigments colors on surface of clay with your fingers, moving into the grooves of the stamp ![]() Step 8 Spray with clear fixative and let dry. Place frame in front of you and cut strips in a Quilt Pattern or puzzle. Design your layout. ![]() ![]() ![]() Step 9 Use your permanent marker and do all the edges of the clay pieces. Put them back in your original layout as you complete each one ![]() Step 10 Apply glue to the back of a clay piece (distribute glue evenly). Continue until all pieces are done ![]() Step 11 Spray clear fixative onto finished 'quilt' pieces ![]() Step 12 After pieces are dry, put picture into frame ![]() Step 13 Then squeeze the liquid fixative "Glossy Accent from Ranger" onto the entire piece including the picture ![]() ![]() Step 14 Spread glossy sealant with ‘throw away’ brush ![]() Allow to day completely in safe area for 24 hours Your finished frame with picture and glossy surface ![]() |
